HILL TOP EARNS PRAISE IN TEXAS HIGHWAYS. Even though it is in an inconspicuous location 10 miles west outside Fredericksgurg on U.S. Highway 87, Brenda and Johnny Nicholas' Hill Top Cafe has found its way into the limelight again -- this time warranting mention on the October 2008 edition of Texas Highways Magazine. Author Dick Holland's column "Top Tables - Noteworthy Culinary Journeys" lauds Hill Top Cafe as a "first-class seafood restaurant that also features Louisiana and Greek cooking and some of the most authentic blues music you'll ever hear."
