Songs n' Stories with Johnny Nicholas, Billy Burdett & Ben Beckendorf

Join us for a special Songs and Stories night with Johnny Nicholas, Billy Burdett, and Ben Beckendorf as they revisit Broke Again and the recording session that became known as The Bedroom Tapes. Recorded in the bedroom of Ben and Helen Beckendorf in Fredericksburg with a rotating cast of Austin musicians, the album has become part of local lore and reflects a time in the 1980s when the town had a distinctly creative, unpredictable spirit. The evening will feature songs from the record along with the real stories behind them, offering a rare look back at one of Fredericksburg’s most memorable chapters in music history.
